TRADE FREEZE IN THE NHL GOES INTO EFFECT 19 DECĀ UNTIL 27 DEC 13.
Brad Marchand trade rumors denied
Peter Chiarelli this morning at a press conference was quick at denying the Brad Marchand trade rumors circulating since his antics against the Canucks in Vancouver last Saturday. Marchand who’s one of the best agitators in the NHL continued his agitating act against the Canucks last Saturday but went too far when he pretended kissing his Stanley Cup ring twice to the Vancouver audience as well as pretending lifting the Stanley Cup. Boston won the Stanley Cup in 2011 in Vancouver in the seventh game. Chiarelli who took over was adamant on the fact Marchand was not on the trading bloc. Marchand with his acts in Vancouver not only angered the Vancouver crowd but also upset the Bruins management. is one of the better agitators in the game today but lately it seems he has only gotten under his own team’s skin.
The trade rumors came after the Bruins made it public that they were not happy with his showboating in Vancouver and that they dealt with it internally with the player. This rumor was also fueled with Marchand producing a sub-par season and the Bruins impatience towards the young winger. Chiarelli declared: “Let me be clear on Marchand. … I’m not trading Marchy. He’s a good player. I like the way he plays.”
